At Vapesol, Human Resourses have always been considered a strategic asset. It’s largely with well prepared and motivated people that one guarantees the company’s sustainability.
Thus, the Vapesol Academy, an iniciative under the scope of Social Responsibility, has been created with the intent to incentivate, by awarding, those who try hard and give it their all in the Footwear industry.
For our first edition, that has now been launched, the candidates should present a male or female footwear design project for Fall/Winter 20/21 and its prototype, which should incorporate soles from Vapesol’s collection. This initiative relies on the participation of students from Felgueira’s Professional School, the Footwear Industry’s Center of Professional Training, in São João da Madeira and Felgueiras, and the Polytechnical Institute of Cávado and Ave.
The models will be selected by a jury composed by a member of Vapesol, a Portuguese fashion designer and a member of APPICAPS.
The awards given by the Vapesol Academy are, for the grand winner, a pecuniary prize of € 1000,00, a trip with stay to Milan and an invitation to Lineapelle tradeshow, which will take place on the next 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October. The runner-up will also receive a trip with stay to Milan and an invitation to this edition of the Lineapelle tradeshow. The winning models will be shown at Vapesol’s stand in Lineapelle.
The public presentation of these models and award giving ceremony will take place at Casa das Artes de Felgueiras, which was kindly offered by Felgueira’s City Hall, on July 17th at 17:30.
